![]() ![]() No one has seen Denton PD’s beautiful Press Liaison Amber for days. Seconds later, a wall of raging white water crashes down, swallowing her whole…Ī knock on the door late in the evening can only mean trouble for Detective Josie Quinn, but fear chokes her at the news that the one of her own team is missing. Hands bound, the girl’s fragile body is limp and still. In the thin glow of moonlight, a mess of auburn curls gleams against the rocks. Many thanks to Bookouture and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine I can’t wait to read the next instalment, this one is strongly recommended. There’s plenty of darkness in this story but there’s also friendship, team work and the joint effort of a team to solve the mystery and save one of them. ![]() I was surprised, entertained and loved this story, one of the best in this series so far. You cannot help feeling for the characters and Josie and rooting for the best solution. The author did an excellent job in describing the dynamics of a team under stress and of the toxic relationships and characters. Josie is back, a bit less emotional than in the last stories, even if the story brings back memories and the people involved are part of her team. I was on the edge till the last chapters and turned pages as fast as I could. Each twists raise new questions and you never know what will happen. It starts with a BANG and never stop adding twists, surprises. ![]() It’s adrenaline fuelled, fast paced, twisty and unputdownable. This book was high on the “sleep deprivation” scale as you cannot stop reading once you start. The Drowning Girls by Lisa Regan (Detective Josie Quinn #13) ![]()
